Why I am taking french

The most basic reason why I am taking french is because it is required to take three years of a language. But I chose french because I love the way it sounds. I want to be able to sing in french. And it is also a goal of mine to move out of the country after graduating college. I've no desire to live in Spain or Mexico or China, so why would I take spanish or mandarin? I hope I'll someday be able to speak french well enough to live, or at least vacation in, France.
When I think of France here are some things I think of: Crepes, baguettes, the Eiffel Tower, and cafes. And there was originally going to be pictures of those objects here but for some reason they wouldn't show up.
